The South Lyon Police Department welcomes you to the beautiful City of South Lyon. We are located in the South West corner of Oakland County.
Members of the Police Department provide police services with a community policing philosophy to approximately 11,000 residents,
as well as to those who visit or pass through our community.

Police Chief Doug Baaki and Lt. Chris Sederlund

When you dial 911, your call is automatically routed to a central dispatch facility. Dispatch and prisoner lock-up services are provided through a contractual agreement with the City of Novi Police Department. This saves South Lyon officers many hours of travel time that would be required to lodge prisoners in the Oakland County Jail, which is located in Pontiac.
