Center for Active Adults
The Center For Active Adults is an integral part of the community and provides services and resources for area adults and their families. The senior program is available for those who are age 50 and over and offers a wide range of enrichment, educational and recreational activities. The Center For Actives Adults promotes healthy aging for both mind and body, and provides opportunities to discover new skills and re-define old ones.

The Center for Active Adults is sponsored by the City of South Lyon, Lyon Township and Green Oak Township. The Center is located in the South Lyon High School on the corner of Pontiac Trail and Eleven Mile Road in South Lyon. It is attached to the high school at the southwest end of the building and has its own entrance and parking lot.

People's Express
The City of South Lyon participates in the People's Express program, a service that provides transportation to senior citizens. The People's Express is a Specialized Transportation Service for townships in Washtenaw County and transfers to a number of bus stops on the AATA bus route. People's Express also provides transportation along the bordering townships of Oakland and Livingston County including the US-23 corridor from I-96 to Washtenaw County Hospitals (U of M and St. Joseph Mercy), Colleges, Businesses, Appointments or wherever you need to go.
