• Pumpkinfest Street Closures

    North Wells Street will be closed from 7 a.m. until noon on Friday, September 22nd (for set up).

    The main downtown streets, Lake & Lafayette (10 Mile Road & Pontiac Trail), will be closed from 12 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 22nd, until 8 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 24th.  There will be posted detour signs routing vehicles around the downtown area.

    If you are heading south on Pontiac Trail (N. Lafayette) toward the City, you will be able to head east on Detroit St. or west on Whipple St.  If you are heading west on Ten Mile Rd. (E. Lake St.), you will be able to travel north or south at Wells St.  If you are heading north on Pontiac Trail (S. Lafayette), you wlil be able to travel west or east at Liberty St.  If you are heading east on Ten Mile Rd. (W. Lake St.), you will be able to travel south on Washington St.  If you want to go north to Pontiac Trail (N. Lafayette), you will have to turn left onto Warren and then right onto Whipple St. until you get to Pontiac Trail.

    The Pumpkinfest Parade and Pumpkinfest Run begins at 9:55 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23rd.  It starts at Lyon Trail (Pontiac Trail south of Nine Mile Rd.) and heads north on Pontiac Trail to westbound Liberty.  From Liberty, it turns onto northbound Warren St. into the Bartlett Elementary School.  Expect the parade to last until noon.

    Please proceed with caution as there will be several persons and vehicles moving about during the parade.  There will be no parking and temporary no parking signs posted on the following streets in the downtown area during this weekend's activities:  Wells St., Liberty St. (between Wells & Washington), Detroit St. (between Pontiac Trail & Reese), Whipple St. (between Pontiac Trail & Warren), Washington St. (between Lake & Liberty) and Warren St. (between Whipple & Liberty St.).
