Property owners in the City of South
Lyon are responsible for clearing their property of noxious weeds either before
the weeds go to seed or grow above 12 inches in height. Each year the City
Clerk
issues notice in The South Lyon Herald of the date by which all
noxious weeds must be cleared from the property. Typically, the notice is published
near the 1st of May. If weeds are not cleared by the date given in the
notice, the City may clear it and charge the cost of the work to the responsible
party.
